Portfolio Lead Games
As Portfolio Lead Games, you will have the overall responsibility for Minc’s focus on game development.
Location: Malmö
Scope: 80–100% full-time permanent position
Organization: Minc in partnership with Game Habitat
Building tomorrow’s game studios in Malmö
Malmö is already an internationally recognized game city, home to pioneers like Massive Entertainment, Tarsier Studios and Simogo. Now the next step is to create a new generation of game studios—companies that combine creative excellence with global commercial potential.
Minc and Game Habitat are now looking for a Portfolio Lead Games who will be responsible for building, leading, and developing cohesive game studios: from early ideas to scalable studios.
About the role
As Portfolio Lead Games, you will have the overall responsibility for Minc’s focus on game development.
You will:
Establish and further develop a support program for game developers, in close collaboration with Game Habitat and Minc’s core operations (pre-incubation → scale)
Attract ambitious, entrepreneurial game developers
Support and guide teams to elevate their ambition, business thinking, and long-term vision
Advise founders and teams on both creative and business development
Act as a bridge between the games industry, tech, investors, financiers, and the innovation system
Represent the game portfolio externally—on stage, in conversations with investors, partners, and public stakeholders
Contribute to Minc’s overall position as a leading actor in Malmö’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
This is a building role: the structures, formats, content, and networks are things you are expected to create—not just maintain.
Who we are looking for
We’re not looking for the perfect resumé. Formal titles are less important than relevant, demonstrable experience and capabilities. We encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds.
We believe you:
Have experience in a lead, founder, producer or business role within a game studio and have a good understanding of the reality of making games
Are deeply familiar with video game culture, language, and craft
Have experience in business development, pitching, and fundraising—towards VCs, publishers, or similar
Have coached and developed teams, preferably during growth or transformation phases
Have an established network within the games industry, and ideally also connections to tech, innovation, or investment
Understand—or can quickly understand—Sweden’s innovation and support system (Vinnova, regions, EU, etc.)
Have experience with international collaborations and EU-funded projects (e.g., Interreg)
Are an effective communicator able to act as an ambassador for games as both an industry and a cultural medium
Want to be an ambassador for games as a medium, industry, and source of future growth
Most importantly: You are driven by seeing others build something bigger than they initially thought possible.
Why Minc?
Minc is much more than an incubator. Our mission is to create real growth, long-term impact, and the growth companies of the future.
Here you will get:
The mandate to shape an entire portfolio
Access to a strong base offer from early to late stages
A clear regional mission with international reach
A role where your experience truly determines the outcome
